Project Overview
Data Center La Pólvora is a 75 MW IT capacity development in Valparaíso, Chile. The site spans 12.8 acres (5.2 ha), located 600 meters from the La Pólvora Substation, with multiple international trunk fiber systems running directly in front of the site along Ruta 60. The site is located within 100 km and approximately 1.5 hours' drive from Santiago's Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport.
La Pólvora sits within the Gran Valparaíso metropolitan area — Chile's second-largest population center, home to over one million people and three of the country's top ten universities. This anchors a growing talent base and innovation ecosystem that supports institutional data center demand now and into the future.
Connectivity Advantage
Data Center La Pólvora sits closer to the landing point of the Curie submarine cable system — Google's trans-Pacific cable — than any other data center in Chile, delivering the lowest latency connection to the United States and west coast international markets available in the Chilean market. La Pólvora will also be closer to the Humboldt cable landing — Chile's next major Pacific submarine system — than data centers in the Santiago metropolitan area, making it one of the best internationally connected data center sites in the country both today and for the next generation of global connectivity infrastructure.

Market & Climate Advantages
Unlike Santiago's increasingly congested data center corridors — where competition for power, fiber, and permits can prevent projects from reaching full maturity — La Pólvora operates in an uncrowded market with full runway to scale without competing against other data center operators. The Valparaíso coastal climate is also significantly milder than Santiago, enabling more hours of free cooling throughout the year. This reduces mechanical cooling loads, lowers PUE, and delivers a more energy-efficient and cost-effective operation over the life of the asset.
